 Why we wrote this book

have you ever quit something?

Quitting has a negative connotation in our society, but some of the best things in life start with quitting something that wasn't the right fit for you. A job, a sport, a hobby, even a relationship - quitting is an intricate part of growing up and living life.

We wrote this book to start teaching the decision making process to children: making choices, analyzing what you like and don't like about something, and deciding whether to stick with it or quit it.

We teach kids about motivation, perseverance, determination, but we rarely acknowledge the importance of quitting, and how it goes hand in hand with life satisfaction and trying new things. Because sometimes quitting is the best thing - sometimes quitting leads to BETTER things.

This children's book encourages a dialogue with children. When you read I QUIT!, ask children questions: do you think she was right to quit? How do you decide to quit something? Why would you quit something? Why would you not quit something?

We hope you enjoy reading I QUIT! as much as we enjoyed writing it!
